For me, meditation is the process of becoming more aware of the present moment. But why is it important that we become more aware of the present moment? And how does one know whether they’re meditating effectively?
Meditation can serve as the ultimate check-in with self. And during times of crisis and anxiety, meditation can be especially useful for maintaining mental clarity and powers of discernment. I think one way to assess your inner-balance, or whether you are meditating effectively, is to first assess your ability to make quick decisions with a degree of emotional certainty. Do you find it hard to make decisions? Feelings of indecisiveness are perhaps prompting you to listen more closely inwardly; to pay attention more to the relationships and the environment around you.
Meditation is often deeply personal and a very unique process for each person. Tune into the audio clip above for more personal insights on how and why I meditate.
